Preserve the agreed scope
Keep the original proposal and any authorized changes. Note what was repaired, what was excluded and which business performed the work. Documentation helps explain a later question without implying an insurance or warranty outcome.
Ask about the final check
Ask the professional to explain testing, operating instructions and any recommended follow-up. Do not remove covers or operate unfamiliar safety equipment to reproduce a test. Know who to contact if the original symptom returns.
Track the work left to others
A pipe repair may leave drying, painting, cabinetry or surface restoration outside the plumbing scope. Keep those responsibilities visible and obtain separate proposals where needed. Close the repair conversation with a clear understanding of remaining work.
